NH State Rep Stacie Laughton Arrested for Stalking
Troubled Lawmaker was First Transgender Person Elected to State Legislature
HUDSON, NH — Four days after being re-elected, New Hampshire State Representative Stacie Laughton was arrested by Nashua police on Saturday, November 12th.
The Gate City constabulary were acting on a warrant issued by the town of Hudson. Laughton has been accused of stalking a Hudson resident.
Laughton was arrested for allegedly violating a no-contact protective order that was issued in June 2022. Laughton allegedly contacted the person who obtained the protective order on Election Day, November 8th.
A Democrat, Stacie Laughton is the first transgender person to be elected to the New Hampshire General Court, the state’s legislature.
