MANCHESTER, NH — The Queen City was ranked the #11th safest city in America in a nation-wide survey of over 150 of the most populated cities.

Manchester wasn’t the only New Hampshire community to rank high In WalletHub’s ranking of the Safest Cities in America: the Gateway City, Nashua, came in at #3.

In contrast, The Hub — Boston, Mass., which has over six times the population of Manchester— ranked 54th.

WalletHub surveyed the top 150 cities by population, and added additional communities as it include a minimum of two of the most populous cities in each of the individual states. It ranked the surved cities in three categories: home and community safety; natural disaster risk; and financial safety.

The COVID Pandemic’s effect on a community was a factor in the rankings.

In a 2020 survey of the states, New Hampshire was ranked #8 in terms of safety
