Election Denier Crissy Kantor Wins Special Election for Manchester Alderman Seat; First-Time Candidate Scores Victory in Ward 6
Attended Steve Bannon Event in New Mexico
Manchester, NH — Election denier Crissy Kantor beat Maxine Mosely 725 votes to 561 in the race to fill the Ward 6 aldermanic seat vacated by Sebastian Sharonov.
It was the first foray into electoral politics for the Republican Kantor, other than her involvement in Sandoval County, New Mexico County Commissioner Jay Block’s unsuccessful bid for that state’s GOP gubernatorial nomination and in at least one election denial event in The Land of Enchantment.
In New Mexico, Crissy Kantor positioned herself as an election denier. Reportedly, she also was vocal in her opposition to the measures taken by the federal government to combat the COVID pandemic in her native New Hampshire.
Kantor was billed as Jay Block’s fiancee during his gubernatorial campaign. Apparently, Kantor was described to the New Mexico press as a businesswoman, but the fact that her business was in New Hampshire didn’t make it into the local coverage.
Block is a prominent election denier, who in 2022, refused to certify voting results after the primary and general election. He lost the GOP primary to former TV meteorologist Mark Rochetti, coming in fourth in the five-person race with less than 11% of the total vote.
“Patriots”
Crissy Kantor also participated in at least one election denial event in New Mexico sponsored by the Trump-pardoned political con man Steve Bannon.
Bannon associates were convicted of fraud for soliciting donations to build a wall between the United States and Mexico. Bannon, who was active in New Mexico in support of the election denial movement, likely used his presence there to solicit for funds in the scam.
Steve Bannon likely would have been convicted of fraud over the borcder wall scam but for the full and unconditional pardon from outgoing President Trump that spared him that fate.
The statement released by the White House at the time of the pardon said, “President Trump granted a full pardon to Stephen Bannon. Prosecutors pursued Mr. Bannon with charges related to fraud stemming from his involvement in a political project.”
At the Bannon election denial event in Lincoln County, New Mexico, Crissy Kantor praised an election denier who attended the January 6, 2021 protest at the nation’s Capitol and others who participated in Mother of All Election Denial Events as “patriots.”
